I'm just going to put everything in one long post! I don't usually re-cap meetings, but with so many moms missing tonight I don't want anyone to be left behind!
*We are going to have one table for the Women's Christmas Dinner on Thursday, December 2nd. The cost to attend is $20. If you would like to attend, please email Heather. You can turn in your money (cash or check to HMUMC) at any of our upcoming events.
*Please let Heather know if you would like to do an upcoming devotion or testimony at a future meeting.
*If you would like to prepare a meal for the Hay family, check out Takethemameal.com
*If you are interested in helping plan a family mission project or have ideas, talk with Matt Tuggle. He will be speaking on this topic on November 10th with our group.
*No meeting next week! Please join us for Trunk or Treat, Dinner and the Puppet Show!
*Wendy Clifton was ill and unable to join us tonight. If you would like to help her with lollipop tagging, please email her (address is in directory) and arrange to pick-up lollipops & tags.
*If you have fabric to donate for our Christmas craft, please bring it to any meeting between now November 17.
*The Women’s Retreat “Lord, help! My life is a game of Twister!” is January 28-30 at Unicoi State Park. Registration is online at HMUMC.org and the cost is $150. Scholarships are available; please contact Harvey Mann for more information.
*We have decided to make shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child for our Christmas service project. Please check out the OCC website for more information if you are not familiar with this project. We thought this would be a fun way to get our children involved in giving back to others. Erin will deliver the boxes to the drop-off location; please bring any boxes to be donated to the November 17th meeting. There is informaton on the $7 shipping donation on the OCC website. Please make sure to include your donation (check or EZGive) inside your box. The OCC website has a great list of do & don't items to include!
*HMUMC is launching a new coupon ministry to clip coupons to purchase low-to-no-cost food for The Pantry. If you would like to get involved with this ministry, there will be a volunteer meeting on Sunday, November 7th at 5 PM at HMUMC. We are going to be holding a coupon seminar to raise money to offset the cost of the food. The seminar is scheduled for Sunday, November 21 at 4 PM at HMUMC. If you are not interested in couponing, please consider donating your unused newspaper coupon inserts to the collection box located in the entryway by the covered circular driveway.
*Mom's Night Out is scheduled for Monday, November 8th. We are going to meet at the new Tanner's (HM location) for dinner at 7. Bring a sweater to sit on the patio if the weather is pleasant! Evite to be sent soon!
*We have a playdate scheduled for Tuesday, November 2nd (Election Day School Holiday). If you would like to host the playdate at your house, please contact Erin.
*The expired coupon ministry for the military has been suspended. Please do not bring any more expired coupons to Heather!

This Week's Meeting Topic
This week's meeting will be all about sleep...why we don't get enough and how we can get more! This is a change from our originally scheduled topic (Safe Kids).
Just a reminder that we will NOT have an official meeting next week, as the church has the annual Fall Festival planned. Please plan to attend Trunk or Treat, the puppet show and dinner with your family. You can make dinner reservations by placing the yellow form inside your Sunday bulletin in the offering plate or by submitting the online form found here.

If you are interested in learning more about the new couponing ministry to help The Pantry at HMUMC, please let Erin know. If you don't have the time or the patience to coupon, please consider donating your unused coupon inserts to help us help others.

Safe Kids ???
So here is the scoop for all of you guys following the Safe Kids soap opera...
I have emailed Safe Kids yet again and requested a confirmation that the date/time/location will work for them, and a week later have yet to hear anything. If I don't hear anything confirming that they are actually going to show up for our meeting by the end of the week, then we will make other plans for our meeting on 10/20. Stay tuned for the conclusion to the never-ending Safe Kids presentation drama!
