Our current Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) group / future Time Out! group recently learned about a family in our area in need of some assistance after the father passed away, leaving his wife, three young girls & an unborn child. As the immediate needs were taken care of by the mother's MOPS group & church, we decided we could put our couponing skills to good use and help with household needs. We took up a collection from our moms and received $267. We have spent $235 so far and were able to purchase $352.46 worth of supplies, a savings of $117.44 by couponing & shopping the sales! We also added a few more items & a Publix gift card to help with the perishables. In addition, Publix at Mulberry Village was kind enough to donate an additional $25 gift card to the family.
Thank you SO MUCH for the generous donations and an extra special thank you to Jennifer Skidmore & Heather Korey for helping me (Erin) shop...and to our awesome cashier Moses at the Mall of Georgia Target, who handled our thick stack of coupons like a pro!!
